The magical Italian fisherman village of Portofino with multi-colored connected sister buildings has a wonderful secret. A warm sun-colored Italian hotel is waiting for seekers of rocambolesco (epic) experiences. After smelling the salty water on your drive through town, take a sharp turn up a windy narrow road and you will arrive. Fittingly named Belmond Splendido Portofino, this former monetary has been transformed into a space for those desiring splendor and succulent seafood.

Belmond Splendido rooms

Sixty-seven rooms are inspired by the elegant backdrop of the hotel. Single rooms feature carefully chosen queen bedding and minimalist features with sweet spring colors. Furthermore, Double Garden View rooms have an impressive view of lush greenery with a king or two twin beds. Additionally, Double Sea View rooms look out on the spectacular view of the port featuring oversized yachts that float meditatively on the sea. Plus, Double Sea View and Balconies feature paintings of local artists that face the gulf. Mesmerizing opulent views await at the balcony.

Belmond Splendido suites

Additionally, Junior Superior Suites and Junior Suite Deluxe include a seating area, marble baths, and a bay view balcony. Focusing on sweeping terrace views of the azure water, Junior Suite Executives play on the pastel theme. Some suites incorporate hardwood floors and two marble bathroom vanities, oversized showers, and bathtubs. Furthermore, Suite Deluxe and Suite Exclusive include a walk-in closet for those extended stays. Plus, some Suite Executives have two coastline terraces of the Gulf of Tigullio for those quiet solitary reflective moments. Presidential Suites house a separate living room and bedroom as well as complete privacy to take in the exquisite aqua colored sea that meets the sky. Finally, a newly built stand-alone suite, Dolce Vita Suite is fixated above the pool and includes a private garden with lounge chairs to read and take in the rays.

Terrace restaurant

An elegant affair for lunch or a sunset dinner, sit at La Terrazza restaurant for seasonal seafood dishes. The food is just as sumptuous as the views. Savor the best of both worlds: Italian homemade pasta with seafood. In the summer, try the pesto risotto with passion fruit seeds and local Rockfish. Do not fret if the bees from the garden try to join you for lunch. The restaurant, however, is ready with roasted coffee beans to deter the little honeybees. This is not the same coffee beans that go in your dessert coffee! In the fall, indulge in the Mezzi paccheri pasta with pil pil sauce and Mediterranean lobster. Finally, no matter the season, linger and lull into a calm bliss as you sip a glass of rosé over lunch.

Pool and tennis

Belmond Splendido has a stunning Infiniti pool for lounging as well as a tennis court for a more active experience.
